The 12th Annual Haitian Independence Day Gala is a patriotic event organized by the Haitian-Americans United, Inc. (H.A.U.) to celebrate the victory and the great impact of the 1791 Haitian Slave Revolution, to honor Haiti's Forefathers, and to commemorate the 209th Anniversary of the proclamation of Haiti's Independence.
The annual Gala is also held to increase the visibily of the Haitian-American community of Massachusetts, to strengthen the Haitian Unity on Common ground, and to educate the young Haitians and Haitian-Americans about their heritage and their civic responsibilities.
The Haitian Gala will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013, starting at 7PM at Lombardo' s Funtion Facility, 6 Billings Street in Randolph, Massachusetts. It will feature Haitian patriotic music, songs and poems, folkloric dance, awards ceremony, etc. The keynote speaker will be Reverend Joel Trimble (Frere Joel), host and producer of a Haitian Television program "La Bonne Nouvelle" watched by an estimate of 2 million Haitians.
Admission: $65 per person / $120 per couple.
