Description
Every great city in the world has a Fringe Festival (NYC, London, Edinburgh) and
for those of you that have been with us since we opened the Dallas Hub Theater,
you know it was one of our strategic goals to bring one to Dallas! A Fringe
Festival is a festival of the best in theater performances by companies and
theater troupes from all over D/FW and the country. Anything goes; comedy,
drama, original works, live music performances. We hope you?ll join us as we
make history with the 1st Annual DFW Fringe Festival beginning World Theater Day
(March 25th) and running to April 22nd (The Dallas Hub Theater?s 1st
Birthday/Anniversary) which will be the opening of our new studio dinner theater
in addition to the upgrades of our main space.
We will offer 13 plays (2 World Premieres, 3 Dallas Premieres) from some of your
local theater companies and visiting theater companies from Austin and Chicago.
We are hosting an artists showcase where artists not only get exposure in front
of both a live audience and industry professionals, but they also get useful
feedback from a panel of diverse industry perspectives (Agent Suzanne Horne,
Co-Artistic Director/Actress Tina Parker from Kitchen Dog Theater, and Tisha
Blood, Casting Director and Associate Producer).
