2008 Eugene Buddy Walk September 27, 2008

WHAT: The Emerald Family Down Syndrome Network, Lane County ’s local Down Syndrome support group, is sponsoring the 2008 Lane County National Buddy Walk. The Lane County Buddy Walk is one of 190 Buddy Walks planned in cities across the country this fall. The Buddy Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome.
WHEN: Saturday September 27, 2007. Entire Event 10:00am-1:30pm. Registration begins at 10:00am, Guest Speakers begin at 11:00am and the walk kicks off at 11:30am. Lunch will to be provided immediately after walk to all participants.

Participants can sign up the day of event or email efdsn@yahoo.com prior to event to receive the Buddy Walk flyer and information.

WHO: Participants include people with Down Syndrome, their families, friends, teachers, coworkers and other supporters.

EVENT INCLUDES: Guest Speakers, Arts and Crafts, Community Resource Booths, Celebration Walk thru park, Food, dance floor with DJ, fun for the kids and more!
