2008 Tax Law Changes- Lunch and Learn Seminar December 18, 2008

H&R Block's local office is presenting its annual year end Tax Law Changes, update seminar as part of the Lunch and Learn series on December 18th from noon until 1pm.

"This year the big changes are related to the tax Economic Recovery Act of 2008. Many items are being adjusted for inflation such as mileage expense, standard deductions, and pre tax savings amounts," says Chris Wilson, the local H&R Block owner.

New items included in this years tax law changes are a housing tax credit for first time home buyers, new tax credits for the first time at the NC state level and additional bonus depreciation for business owners. "Now more than ever, it is important to understand the tax law changes in order to ensure that taxpayers don't leave any money on the IRS table," says Wilson.

The Lunch and Learn Seminar Series is designed to bring timely information to our local business community. It is co-sponsored by the Business Development & Entrepreneurship Center (BDEC) and the Roxboro Area Chamber of Commerce.
