20th annual Roots Festival August 27, 2009

Paola will host the 20th annual Roots Festival at the historic Park Square. The festival begins on Friday August 28th and runs throuth Saturday August 29th.

The festival is the home of the East Central Kansas State Barbecue Championship, crafts, rides for the kids, a variety of food vendors and some of the best musical talent in the country. On Friday night, Walter Trout and the Radicals will wrap up the evening and on Saturday night the festival will conclude with a performance by the Robert Cray Band.
