Sharlot Hall Museum will be alive with the sound of music when folk musicians from near and far populate the campus for the 33rd Annual Folk Music Festival.

Daily admission is $3 for Museum members, $5 for adult non-members and free for children under 18. The Museum is located at 415 W. Gurley St., two blocks west of the Courthouse Plaza in Prescott.

Arizona’s oldest continual folk music festival will feature top folk-music performers delivering a wide range of folk music styles on multiple sound stages.

The family-friendly event also features musical acts for the kids. Further enhancing the proceedings are workshops for specific instruments (dulcimers, musical saws, mandolin, etc.) and an intriguing range of folk-music topics.

The Folk Music Festival is renowned for its impromptu jam sessions featuring musicians from different groups and styles mixing and mingling with visitors.

The event also includes an instrument swap meet on Sunday morning, while the ever-popular band scramble returns on Sunday afternoon to close the weekend with a healthy mix of humor and music.
