Families are invited to come to West Yellowstone, Montana for the fourth annual Earth Day Celebration for a weekend filled with free activities. The weekend includes fee free admission to Yellowstone April 22-26th, 2013. Some activities include a reception at the Holiday Inn with ann Earth Day Film Festival and the reception acts as a regional environmental "trade show".
Saturday is filled with more activities. Learn about our ecosystem’s birds of prey and bear-safe containers, recycling; make crafts from recycled materials, and enjoy Earth Day treats, face painting, movie shorts & cartoons while learning how each person can make our earth a better place.
The West Yellowstone Public Library will host an Earth Day Art Contest in April.
Sunday, get outdoors with a group bike ride into Yellowstone Park Meet in the parking lot of the West Yellowstone Chamber. Members of the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation (WYSEF) will escort a group bike ride into Yellowstone National Park (no fee required). Bike rentals are available from Freeheel & Wheel (40 Yellowstone Ave) or Yellowstone Bike & Video (132 Madison Ave).
