6th Annual Denver Food & Wine Classic September 10, 2010

Food and wine enthusiasts can enjoy Denver’s finest restaurant offerings and more than 600 featured wines and signature spirits.

Schedule of Events:

FRIDAY, Sept. 10
Noon – 6 p.m. – Leading chefs and noted wine professionals will present hourly seminars to grow your knowledge and understanding of food and wine. Seminars will be held at The Tivoli, 900 Auraria Parkway and at the Viking Culinary Stage. Cost is $10 per person with the exception of the Glass Seminar, which costs $75 per person and includes four glasses.

6 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Art of the Cocktail Party & Concert at metro’s Historic 9th Street Park, featuring national recording artist Ryan Star.
Tickets are $35 per person and are available on-line or at the door.

SATURDAY, Sept. 11
Noon – 4 p.m. – The “Grand Tasting” event will be held on the Viking Culinary Stage under the tents on the Metropolitan State College of Denver Campus and will include featured wines and signature spirits, cuisine from some of Denver’s finest
restaurants, a silent wine auction and a Denver Chef culinary showcase.
Tickets are $60 per person and are available on-line, at select liquor stores and at the door.

Beneficiaries of the evening are the Denver Post Charities, Colorado Restaurant Association Education Foundation and Metropolitan State College of Denver – Department of Hospitality, Tourism and & Events Program.
