A Cloudy Night September 11, 2008

Welcome to the final frontier of computing, the Cloud. The cloud is made up of huge clusters of commodity hardware and Hadoop (http://hadoop.apache.org/core/) provides the mean to harness it's power. An Open Source implementation of Map Reduce that allows you to distribute tasks in a fault tolerant way over many, many machines.

There will be free food and drink and we hope to have enough Virtual Servers running to allow attendees to do some Cloud Computing for real.
