In the small village of Chipping Cleghorn, Letitia Blacklock's peaceful day is interrupted when a murder is announced in the local newspaper. The murder is stated to take place at 6:30 p.m. that very day - Friday October the 13th - in Letty's house, Little Paddocks. As friends and relations congregate in her house, suspicion and interest grows until the hour strikes!
