A Taste of Ancient Rome and Carthage January 31, 2008

Have the Post Holiday Blues? Come out of the cold and sample some historical cuisine. Join local author and historian, Angela Render for an evening of fun and food as she discusses religious practices in ancient Rome and Carthage. Angela will read an excerpt from her novel, Forged By Lightning: A Novel of Hannibal and Scipio (ISBN 1411680022). Her talk will be accompanied by a display of period reproduction weaponry and samples of desserts from ancient Rome and Carthage. Book signing to follow.
