A Tribute to African Americans in the Military October 28, 2006

Celebrate the legacy of African Americans in the military at a fundraiser for the Unsung Heroes Living History Project.

Come meet authors who will share their experiences in the military during wartime and peacetime as well as other veterans and their families in attendance.

Mainstream history books may have ignored these proud men and women, but the Unsung Heroes Living History Project refuses to.

The Unsung Heroes Living History Project is a 501(C)3 organization that celebrates and preserves the legacy of the African American experience in the military. This nationwide project incorporates youth, mentors, veterans and their families to produce a "living history" that will be part of a permanent exhibit as well as in the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.
