A Tribute to Chen Yifei January 12, 2007

Chen Yifei was the most celebrated modern painter working in China. The fine detail and pathos of his work has earned the description 'romantic realism.' Well-known in the USA, having lived and worked in New York 1980-1990, his European reputation has grown after showing at the Venice Biennale and at Marlborough New York, 1999. Chen was also an established film-maker.
