These recent paintings use vivid color, shape and texture to explore the intricacies of the emotional landscape. By continuously reworking the paint on canvas, Michele creates multiple layers that are then excavated to explore what lay beneath.The process—a meditative experiment in itself—is a visual expression of the artist's own desire to expose raw and essential emotional truths.
