Academy Ballet Company presents "The Nutcracker" December 13, 2008

Come get swept away in a land full of sweets and dancing as the Academy Ballet Company presents the holiday classic, "The Nutcracker", on December 13th and 14th, 2008. Students from the Dance Academy of Boca Raton, and their resident performance company the Academy Ballet Company, guide you through this ballet and the story of Clara, a young girl who's mysterious uncle presents her with a gift of a nutcracker. After going to sleep, Clara is awakened in a magical land. After a triumphant battle with the Mouse King, Clara and her Nutcracker travel though the forest with beautiful dancing snowflakes, to enter the Land of Sweets. The Sugar Plum Fairy greets the two and arranges a magnificent performance.

This family friendly ballet is wonderful for children and adults alike. Held at the Historic Crest Theater in Delray Beach, the Academy Ballet Company's production of "The Nutcracker" is comprised of all local talent. Each role is performed by students of the Dance Academy of Boca Raton.
