Alumni Recital: Meredith Arwady, Contralto January 23, 2011

Contralto Meredith Arwady is a fast-rising star, "remarkably rich of voice" (Chicago Sun Times), who has been a favorite of Metropolitan Opera audiences since her debut in 2008. In addition to the Met, she has performed repeatedly at the San Francisco Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera, Oper Frankfurt, and English National Opera, among others. She has appeared in concert with the Boston, Seattle, National, and Houston symphony orchestras. Ms. Arwady collaborates with Mikael Eliasen, artistic director of the Curtis Opera Theatre. The program features works by Bernstein, Bolcom, Elgar, Sondheim and others.
