Mark Dolph, Tulsa Community College instructor and the coordinator of volunteer services for the museum, will discuss Thomas Jefferson's agrarian ideal for the early republic, and how his vision of virtuous yeomen farmers populating the West served as a critical catalyst in efforts to open Oklahoma to non-Indian settlement in the final decade of the 19th century.
