AMERICAN COMBAT ASSOCIATION

PRESENTS:

THE AMERICAN COMBAT SUMMER CAMP

The American Combat Association, the fastest growing mixed martial arts company in America, is proud to present a summer camp tailored for but not limited to amateur wrestlers. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of grappling including a comprehensive introduction to submission wrestling and striking. The American Combat Summer Camp provides students with all of the benefits of other wrestling camps in addition to introducing students to catch as catch can submission holds, Iranian and Russian Olympic wrestling techniques and the fundamentals of striking. The camp will be run by two time South Carolina state champion and high school wrestling coach Steve Volponi and freestyle and Florida and Southeast regional submission champion Matthew "Granimal" Granahan. Chuck Sloan, former Florida Greco-Roman champion and nationally ranked Greco-Roman competitor will also provide additional instruction on Sundays. In addition, the club will offer a special seminar with 2004 olympic wrestler, world Abu Dhabi Submission champion, King of Kombat cage fighting champ and undefeated mixed martial artist Kamal Shalorus. Kamal is also Pat Miletich's wrestling trainer at Pat's Austin Texas facility. Kamal is a team member of Matt Hughes, Robbie Lawler and Tim Silvia to name a few. This seminar is offered solely and exlusively to members of the camp for a $50 fee. In addition we will offer a seminar with the first ever American World Shooto champion Erik Paulson focusing on Erik's Combat Submission Wrestling System. Erik is a 5 time world Shooto champion and trainer of the top mixed martial artists in the world including Brock Lesnar, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Josh Barnett and Sean Sherk. Like the seminar with Kamal this seminar will be offered exlusively to camp members for a $50 fee. In addition the American Combat Summer Camp will bring in retired Captain Michael D'Ettore for a lecture on discipline and a demonsration of Marine Combative techniques. This seminar will cost only $20 and will again be offered exclusively to camp members. Nowhere else in America, let alone the Southeast is there a camp that provides this level of training from coaches with proven skills both on the mat and as trainers.

There is a one time up front fee of $150 to join the camp. The American Combat Summer Camp will run classes every Tuesday and Thursday night from 7pm-9pm at the Newberry College wrestling Room and every Sunday afternoon from 3-5pm at White Rock Boxing Academy located at 2150 Dutch Fork Rd in Chapin, South Carolina. Classes will officially begin on Tuesday June 16 and the camp will run 3 nights a week for a full 9 weeks. If you are a wrestler looking to raise your game as well as prepare yourself for USA Wrestling's grappling tournaments there is no other camp in the country better for you. If you are thinking of becoming a mixed martial artist there is no better place to train in America than at the American Combat Summer Camp
