The annual Taste of Clayton will be held on Friday evening, June 8th from 6 to 9 p.m. on the picturesque grounds of the Stately Oaks Complex in Jonesboro. The event featuring food from local restaurants, caterers, celebrity chefs and food service providers is hosted by Historical Jonesboro/Clayton County.

A sample of the restaurant participants in this year’s event are O’Charley’s, Cracker Barrel, Hooter’s, Graffiti’s Pizza, Anne & Bill’s, Cuban Cafee, and Chick-fil-A. Other food service providers include Blue Bell Creameries of Morrow, Super H Mart and CostCo. Back by popular demand is celebrity chef Jim Wood who will once again prepare his delicious tomato sandwiches.

This event is a prize among local ‘tastings’ because of its beautiful setting complete with the shade of live oaks and the strains of live music from Southern Crescent musicians.

Tickets for Taste of Clayton will go on sale May 14th at Juddy’s Store on the Stately Oaks grounds and at the Clayton County Train Depot. Advance ticket prices are: Adults $18.00; Seniors (age 55+) $15.00; Children (ages 5+) $10.00. Tickets prices at the gate are as follows: Adults $20.00, Seniors $18.00, and Children $10.00.
