I am writing to ask if it would be possible to seek some aid from the
general public.
I am a visual artist from Falmouth Cornwall I require either contacts or
advice concerning an art project I intend to carry out in the tsunami
affected areas. I need to meet local artists from the affected areas, to discuss
creating artworks with direct relation to the disaster, using abandoned/desolated
items and areas to create a visual language; this could be conducted in many
mediums ranging from video instillations to paintings in the urban
structures. I want to use the outside space as much as possible so as to enforce a
notion of an open gallery space that doesn?t neglect to include the widest possible audience. This would then lead on to showing the created works in a broadcasted
documentary taking the work to a world wide audience. It would then be
intended that the gallery exhibitions be curated, showing photos of created
work prelimary sketches, and other visual language. This exhibition would
be a major step to demonstrating potential contemporary artists from this part of the world.
Obviously the exhibition would be able to financially aid the suffering
families that have helped with procedures once the art starts generating profits.
What I need is to formulate a group of supporters whether it is financial,
information networks or other interested artists.
One love Louis
