In keeping with a nine-year tradition, Atlanta Girls’ School will celebrate with a spring gala on the evening of April 17th at the new BB&T Tower in Atlantic Station to benefit financial aid at Atlanta Girls’ School. Each year, this event draws between 300-400 guests from the Atlanta community and grosses over $150,000 for financial aid – nearly one quarter of the entire year’s scholarship needs.
This year’s event will honor the school’s founders, Emily Ellison and Brooke Weinmann and feature Daniel Pink, author of several provocative, bestselling books.
Pink’s latest book is “Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us,” which uses 40 years of behavioral science to overturn the conventional wisdom about human motivation and offer a more effective path to high performance. “Drive” reached every national bestseller list in its first month of publication and is now in its seventh week on the New York Times list.
