Aug 18-21: The First Annual Erasing Borders Festival of Indian Dance presented by the IAAC August 18, 2008

This year’s Indo-American Arts Council presents Erasing Borders Festival of Dance kicks off with two free outdoor day-time performances as part of Battery Dance Company’s Downtown Dance Festival on August 18-19.

“Erasing Borders” dance festival presented by the Indian American Arts Council and Battery Dance Company showcasing classical Indian dances such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi to contemporary choreographies, modern and post-modern works by South Asian dancers and choreographers ; August 18-19 from Noon to 2PM: 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza at Nassau St and Pine St. Subway: 2, 3, 4, 5, J, M, Z on Wall St. and R, W on Trinity Pl. This is a free outdoor event packed with entertaining Indian dance performances for all ages.
