Stepping Over the Horizon is a film based on the writings and recollections of art critic Sara Oğuz Nəzirovanın. The lives and works of five 20th century Azerbaijani artists associated with the Absheron School of Painting are discussed. In their art, all five depicted the world view, aesthetics, and mythology of the people living in the Caucasus.
