The Karabakh Foundation will present 'Stepping over the Horizon,' a film by critically acclaimed Azerbaijani director Shamil Najafzade. The film runs for approximately one hour. This screening is a part of Azerbaijani Thursdays, a series of screenings presented in conjunction with the ongoing exhibit 'Azerbaijani Artist in Every Sense: Kamil Najafzade (1929-2011).' 'Stepping Over the Horizon' is a film based on the writings and recollections of art critic Sara Oguz Nezirovanin. The lives and works of five 20th century Azerbaijani artists associated with the Absheron School of Painting are discussed. In their art, all five depicted the world view, aesthetics, and mythology of the people living in the Caucasus.
