BalletX presents 'Proliferation of the Imagination,' a world premiere. Part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts 2011, this premiere is a collaborative production of BalletX and The Wilma Theater. Inspired by Guillaume Apollinaire's "La Mamelles de Tiresias" (1917), 'Proliferation of the Imagination' reinterprets Apollinaire's groundbreaking surrealist theater through an interdisciplinary multimedia work developed by Wilma Dramaturg/Literary Manager Walter Bilderback and Co-Artistic Director Matthew Neenan. The production will incorporate ballet, spoken text, video, originally composed music, with ingenious set design by Obie Award winner Steven Dufala.
