Barb Jungr Stockport to Memphis November 30, 2012

Long acknowledged as one of Britain’s best singers and a unique interpreter of popular song Jungr returns to After 8 with her new show Stockport to Memphis, singing both her own material and songs by some of her favourite writers.

This deeply soulful, richly groove laden show explores Jungr’s trajectory from the roots of her European upbringing in the Northwest of England to her international cult status as one of the great song stylists through a musical prism of soul, blues and jazz. For the first time she features original material specially written for this project. The new album Stockport to Memphis was released in October 2012.
