Pull out the corks and let the wine flow from the vine! The 7th Annual Bay View Wine Fest, Milwaukee’s largest wine tasting party, will take place on Saturday evening, January 15th, 2011, starting at 6 p.m. at the Marian Center in Bay View, formerly known as the old St. Mary’s Academy. The Marian Center is steeped in history, and is unquestionably Bay View's most beautiful and historic building. Located at 3211 South Lakeshore Drive, this beautiful building is a very unique location for a wine and food tasting!

Participants will enjoy an enchanting and magical evening of superb wine tasting, delicious samples of food from local establishments, several craft beers, and great music. New to this year’s wine fest, participants will discover a huge wholesale art auction sale and other artwork for sale, including aviation art pieces. You never know, you might see a ghost from the past shimmering through the tall oak trees of the spooky property!

The Bay View Wine Fest is a longstanding and quality wine and food tasting event, offering many diverse varieties of wine for tasting, and is not just your average wine tasting event. Some have said it’s even better than the Milwaukee Wine Festival, in terms of quality and variety, not to mention what you get for the dollar. Wine lovers will also have the option to upgrade to a limited premier wine tasting experience. Only 75 tickets will be available for the premier wine tasting area, so those craving the higher end wines are encouraged to order tickets early, as this area of the event has sold out very quickly since being added to the event.

One of the invited beneficiaries participating in the Bay View Wine Fest for several years now is W.A.G.G.R - Wisconsin Adopt-A-Golden Retriever, so expect to some beautiful Golden Retrievers along with the wine and food! The gala will provide guests with the opportunity to support The Milwaukee Air & Water Show, which is Milwaukee's only air show event. Plenty of free off-street parking is available at the Marian Center’s large parking lot, and it’s easy to get to. Each year, Quinn the DJ heats up the night with all kinds of great sounds, and at times some swing music! And yes, there is a lot of room for dancing!

Advance tickets are $25, or $30 at the door, and are available for purchase online at www.bvwinefest.com. Wine tasting aficionados should order their tickets early, since tickets are very limited, and only 500 are available for sale. The event sells out each year. Each Bay View Wine Fest ticket includes tasting of all wines, beers, and foods. Adults only, over 21. Cash, check or credit card accepted.
