Be Outraged: A Vigil Against Gun Violence July 12, 2007

Last weekend, while I was away enjoying a weekend with my closet friends, a drive by shooting occur ed on my block. More than a dozen bullets lodged into the row house next to mine. Thankfully, no one was physically injured. But, that isn't good enough for me. We need to be outraged every time bullets fly. We need to take action every time and just as we work to end violence in Iraq, we need to end violence in in our communities and on our blocks if need be.

Join me for a short vigil this Thursday at the corner of 10th and French Street, NWat 8pm. Let's not let shooting become commonplace. Let's be outraged together!
