Belles of Dublin weaves Irish songs and the mesmerizing strains of the Irish harp with bittersweet, often comic tales of coming of age, illicit love affairs gone wrong, an unforgettable plan for revenge, and its aftermath.

The Irish Edition called Belles of Dublin a “beautiful sequenced show” performed by a “talented trio”, which “under MacIntyre’s direction worked splendidly” and was “warmly received by a festive audience” at its revival in
The Red Room at Society Hill Playhouse in 2007 after premiering in 2006.
Belles of Dublin was also featured in the WHYY Cultural Arts Calendar, WXPN, NBC-10, and was in the City Paper Arts Agenda Picks as well as the Do This! section of the Philadelphia Inquirer Weekend magazine.

For the 2008 production, there will be a new cast member, harpist/singer Evangeline Williams, as well as some new text and music. Running time is approximately 90 minutes and the show is performed without intermission.

Belles of Dublin, with Kim Robson, Evangeline Williams, and Polly MacIntyre,
offers a unique and delightful way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
