Norman Palm, der Sänger, hat diese beiden Klassiker in einer
melancholischen Interpretation verarbeitet. Auf seiner im November 07
bei Ratio Records erschienenen, limitierten Seven-Inch, lässt er die
Gender-Debatte im Diskurspop als Schmusehit mit Hilfe des Whitest Boy
Alive-Schlagzeugers Sebastian Maschat an der Posaune wieder
auferstehen.

Dazu hat Norman Palm, der Berliner Grafiker, ein Dreh-Cover
gestaltet, auf dem sich beide Titel in einer Grafik vereinen. Nicht
zuletzt dafür lohnt es sich seinen Plattenspieler zu entstauben. Eine
Version von "Boys don´t cry" ist aber auch auf der 75. Spex Cd zu
hören, falls man keinen Plattenspieler mehr besitzt.

Da Norman Palm neben dem Gitarre spielen und singen eben auch
Zeichnen und gestalten kann, sind seine Live-Shows eine
audio-visuelle Besonderheit. So wird im Belleville-Store zu jedem
Song eine eigens komponierte Bilderstrecke an die Wand projeziert.
Die traurigen Songs werden dadurch noch trauriger, und die fröhlichen
noch fröhlicher.

Die Projektionen basieren auf einem Buch das Norman Palm zusammen
mit seinem noch in Arbeit befindlichen Album gestaltet hat. in diesem
erarbeitete er zu jedem Lied ganze Bildstrecken, die das Gesungene
illustrieren.

Während des Konzerts im Belleville-Store am 25.01.08 wird uns Norman
Palm mit der Gitarre in der Hand einen akustischen Einblick in sein
bevorstehendes Album geben.

"Boys don´t cry"
"Girls just wanna have fun"

These two pop classics has been turned into a melancholic
interpretation by the singer Norman Palm. On his seven-inch, which
has been published in a limited edition at Ratio Records in November
07, he revives the gender debate in discourse pop as soft-hits with
the help of the drummer from Whitest Boy Alive, Sebastian Maschat,
playing the trombone.

In addition has the Berlin graphic designer Norman Palm conceived a
rotational cover that combines both titles into one graphic. This is
only one reason to revive your old turntable. A version of "Boys
don’t cry" is also on the 75th Spex CD, just in case no
turntable is around.

Since Norman Palm can not only sing and play the guitar, but also
design and make drawings, are his live shows an audio and visual
exception.

So there will be a composed series of images for each song projected
onto the wall of the Belleville-Store. The sad songs will appear even
more sad and the happy ones even happier.

The images of the screening are based on a book that Norman Pal has
created with his album, which is still in progress. In this book he
produced a series of images illustrating what is being sung.

With the concert in the Belleville-Store on the 25th of January
2008, Norman Palm will, with his guitar in his hand, give us an
acoustic impression of his forthcoming album.
