With 11 workshop instructors and 15 vendors selling costuming and goods from the near and far East, the 2007 Baltimore BellyPalooza festival is bigger and better than ever! There is something for everyone: Turkish to Tribal, Egyptian to Belly/Jazz, Intro to Belly Dance Moves (for beginners) to Advanced Technique Worshops, Oriental Dance History to Balancing How-Tos. Special Packages available for every level, from Novice to Professional.
Steps away from the Mattin Center at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Belly Dance Magic is a magic carpet ride through space and time. You'll glimpse mysteries from the ancient halls of the Pharaohs, see Moorish dancers and traveling Oriental circus artists of yesteryear, peek into a sultry Anatolian taverna, and then be whisked away to view the modern stages of Istanbul and Cairo. Theater doors open at 7pm for open seating and a giant puppet pre-show, and the performance starts at 7:30. Tickets are $25, $20 for full-time students with ID, $15 for children 12 and under.

BellyPalooza is open to everyone for free and will have over a dozen vendors, including many from around the country, some making their first appearance in the area. Make this event worth their while and they'll be back for more! Even if you don't feel like shopping, wait... is that possible? Anyway, come and see what the International Bazaar has to offer you!
