Ben Hur (1959) March 29, 2010

A young man in 1st century Jerusalem, Judah Ben-Hur has grown up under Roman rule. When a member of Ben-Hur's family accidentally injures the new governor, his Roman friend, Messala, now a Tribune in a position of authority, condemns Ben-Hur to life in the Galleys and his family to prison. After five years, Ben-Hur escapes the galley during a battle while saving the live of the Roman commander. In gratitude, the Roman adopts him and Ben-Hur, once again wealthy, is free to satisfy his lust for revenge on Messala and to find his missing family.
