Title:
Bhopal Survivors Tour
Brief Description:
On December 3, 1984 twenty-seven tons of lethal gas leaked from the Union Carbide pesticide factory in Bhopal, India. 8,000 people were killed and thousands more have been affected by the ongoing water contamination.
This year a North American tour of organizers celebrates the survival and activism of the people of Bhopal, as well as continuing to raise awareness of the event and advocate for Union Carbide's parent company Dow Chemical to finally take responsibility for the lasting impact of the leak.
