Black Hills State University will once again host the Perkins Basketball Classic from Dec. 28 to Dec. 30 in the main gym of the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center. The tournament will not only consist of four men’s college teams but also seven high school teams.
The first day of the Classic will be devoted to the high schools, including boys and girls, which are competing. The five games that are scheduled between these schools are Pine Ridge, Rapid City Stevens Junior Varsity, Lead-Deadwood, Belle Fourche, Red Cloud, Douglas, and Spearfish.
Four men’s college basketball teams are competing in this year’s Classic. On Dec. 29 South Dakota School of Mines will play University of Montana, and Black Hills State University will challenge University of Colorado. The following day, Dec. 30, South Dakota School of Mines will face University of Colorado, and Black Hills State will square off against University of Montana. The games are set for 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in order of listing for both days.
