Hello-
We are having the Big Read Teen Talk this Wednesday, April 15
5:00-6:00 in Program Room A at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library located at 200 W. Park Ave., Tallahassee, FL.
It will be a teen book club focusing on the Big Read book, Fahrenheit
451, by Ray Bradbury.
Don't worry if you haven't read the book. You may find this discussion
makes you WANT to read the book!
Here is a small description of the book.
In 1953, who imagined current staples such as ear buds, wall-sized
flat panel TVs, reality television, and ATMs?
Ray Bradbury
He imagined all of these and more. A society where firemen set fires,
rather than extinguish them. A society that outlaws books because of
the dangerous ideas they contain. A future as brief as the next
televised broadcast. These ideas, combined with memorable characters
and a fast-paced plot, became Bradbury's classic novel, Fahrenheit
451.
Hope YA can join us!
See YA there!
