Bird Banding Demonstration May 1, 2011

Observe wild song birds being captured, banded and released by Sanctuary staff during this unique program. Bird banding is a continent-wide science project managed by the US Geological Survey that uses data collected from individual birds to further bird science and conservation. Drop in any time from 9-11am to see how banding works and learn how you can participate as a citizen scientist. All ages welcome.
