Share in the magic and wonder of Oz in the Black Hills State Summer Theatre production of “The Wizard of Oz”. Now in its third season the Black Hills State University Summer Theatre showcases BHSU students, alumni, and elementary and middle school students. “The Wizard of Oz” is the second of three shows on the BHSU campus in the historic Woodburn Hall Theatre (elevator access is available). Performances begin in July and are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

In “The Wizard of Oz”, little Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination.
