Blackfish features James Everest and Joel Pickard. With an upright bass, pedal steel, nylon and steel string acoustic guitars, and myriad effects and looping pedals, the duo creates spontaneous sounds and songs that span from the intricate and spare to dense and layered sonic constructions. Each Blackfish performance is live recorded and responds directly to the sounds and influences of the local area.
