The students, individuals and staff of Block Institute will come together to celebrate the earth and her wonderful resources in an event organized by Block Institute's Environment Committee. Block Institute is an educational facility dedicated to providing services to children and adults with special needs.

Everyone will get outside and help clean their local environment. Planting will take place at all of the Block Institute facilities to not only help beautify "Mother Earth" but to also help replenish our oxygen supply. Volunteers from the community are welcome to help with our "Spring Cleaning" and planting.

Age appropriate lessons for the day will delve into the life cycle and preservation of our natural resources. Everyone will be displaying craft projects they have worked on using recycled materials.

Earth Day is a celebration of the earth - a culmination of lots of wonderful projects and the start of new growth!
