Indoor and outdoor booth space is available for over fifty vendors. There is no charge to participate in this event, and no commission will be taken from sales. Awards will be presented for artistic excellence and booth display during the festival. It is FREE and for ALL AGES!!!
Individuals working in 2-and 3-dimensional media, including jewelry, fiber, glass, metal, wood, ceramics. and more are encouraged to apply. Organizers also welcome vendors selling quality nature-based products including gourmet foods, and bath and beauty products. Storytellers, dancers, musicians, poetry readers, and other performance artists are also encouraged to apply. The schedule of performance events will give priority to subject matter that celebrates Perry County history and/or rural ways of life. Finally, volunteers or vendors wishing to present local history, eco-education, or an artist demonstration should also contact event organizers with their specific needs. The Blooming Arts Festival is a grass-roots effort, initiated by an eclectic group of individuals and business owners, intended to stimulate local tourism while also providing retail opportunity for regional artists and small business. The festival was launched last year as a part of a new art-based economic development initiative. Since then, a downtown arts district has been developed with over a dozen new works of public art. This year's festival marks one-year anniversary of Linden's renaissance special event. The March 20 event will be marketed throughout Tennessee and the southeast. "Shoulder" events will take place throughout the weekend. An event website, complete with downloadable driving map containing cultural, natural and historic sites of interest will be made available to the public. Interested applicants should contact Vision Perry at 931-589-3031 or email info@visionperry.com.
