Bookmaking Business - Hand-Dyed Pop-Up Books January 10, 2010

Join us at the Foundry Art Centre as we indulge in the creative practice of hand-made, one of a kind Bookmaking. Each of these classes offer different but original bookmaking techniques leaving room for a wide variety of creative and innovative ideas to incorporate to your personal book. Class size is limited to10-12 people so hurry and sign up today! MJ Goerke is an accomplished mixed media artist who has been teaching for many years. Her work in the books arts has been rewarded with many exhibits both locally and nationally. The Best of Show winner of the prestigious St. Louis Art Fair and The Peoria Art Fair, Goerke has been one of the Honors recipients at Art St. Louis in 2009 and multi-time Group Four winner at the Foundry Art Centre. Goerkes work is in many collections both nationally and abroad. As a teacher of the book arts, she has started many interests in books for her students. She shares her expertise with the new student as well as accomplished book artist. Now she shares some books that she has personally developed. All levels invited to participate!
