Outline workshop

Workshop covers:

• How learning works
• Improving your memory and retention
• Read quickly and effectively - speeding up your reading and retaining more of what you need
• Effective writing - structuring, the basics of grammar and punctuation
• Foolproof spelling

Sessions are practical and hands on with lots of opportunities to practice skills. The aim of the workshop is for participants to come away with strategies and techniques they can apply straightaway in the business context.

GILL WOON - Biography

Gill is a life and learning coach, qualified trainer, speaker and author specialising in communication, self-development and learning enhancement. Gill's motto is 'Become the you that you want to be' and she firmly believes everyone has a life purpose which it has been her pleasure to help clients discover and live out. Over the past four years Gill has focussed on helping people with specific learning disabilities (dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD and ADHD etc) to make the most of their life and learning opportunities.

Gill worked as a training consultant for the DTI for six years, training individuals and groups in a range of management, communication and self-development skills. Gill has also worked as an EFL teacher in Spain and as an EFL teacher and Spanish teacher in the UK with people of all ages and levels.

Gill has worked with individuals and organisations as varied as DTI, DSS, the Public Record Office, the Townswomen's Guild, the London Girton Association, Mott McDonald and the Girls' Dayschool Trust, designing and delivering training courses and workshops on personal development, change management and communication and management skills.
