Boulders & Blooms: Geology & Native Plant Hike May 21, 2011

Join Susie Bartz of the Dibblee Geology Center and SBBG Nursery Manager Bruce Reed for a guided moderately strenuous 1.5 mile walk in Mission Canyon from Tunnel Road to Mission Tunnel. We will discover features such as Sespe riverbeds, Coldwater sandstone, and ancient shell beds as well as native wildflowers and chaparral. Bring water, hat, sturdy shoes, and curiosity. Event Location--Meet at the top of Tunnel Road above the parking lot area at the gate just beyond the big tank. Online registration available.
