Bozeman Photoshop Users Group: Visiting Photographer July 19, 2011

Join F-11 Photo on July 19th for a truly extraordinary presentation by Torsten Päschel. Torsten will be demonstrating the making of bokehramas or panorama images taken with the "Brenizer method". These images are distinctive because they show an unusually wide field of view with an abnormally shallow depth of field. Torsten will be taking us outside for a quick demonstration on the shooting technique and then we'll come back in and stitch the images together so you can see immediate results. Find out what equipment you need while you learn how to make these images and also find out about common pitfalls that you can avoid while creating your own bokehramas. Join in from 5:45 to 7 PM. There’s no need to pre-register.

Born in Cologne, Germany, Torsten Päschel got his first camera at age 14. At 17, he got serious about learning the technical aspects of photography. Torsten put himself through the university system by working at several stores which started his Nikon camera collection. Having worked for Nikon Germany, Torsten has also taught adult education courses on digital photography and currently exercises his passion for photography in a photo club he is running with friends. Currently living in Lueneberg, Germany, Torsten teaches English and geography at a high school.

F-11 teamed up with Adobe to bring you the Bozeman Photoshop User Group with the goal of building an interactive community of Photoshop Users who gather in a learning environment that encourages them to share their knowledge and realize their vision. The group generally meets the second Monday of each month. Meetings are $5 or become an official member for $25 a year. Membership perks include: 10% off all photofinishing at F-11 Photo, members-only events and more. Most meetings start with a quick Photoshop tip, followed by a guest speaker, then ends with a question and answer period.
