Brick City 07101 - Exhibition July 31, 2009

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is proud to announce Brick City 07101; an art exhibition curated by Jeanne Brasile which introduces six of Newark’s freshest emerging visual artists, and demonstrates the vibrancy of Newark’s flourishing art scene as well as a diversity of ethnicities, media and inspiration. The exhibition seeks to illustrate the continuum of the artistic legacy fostered by artists working and living in Newark since the early 1900’s. The exhibition will be on display at the Art Center July 31st through August 31st. Come join us at the opening reception, Friday, August 7th, 6-8pm. Event is free and open to the public.
