Bring Home Peace on Mother's Day May 9, 2009

Highlighting the peace message of Julia Ward Howe's Mother's Day proclamation in 1870, members of United Peace and Justice will host a Mother's Day gathering. The community is invited to an afternoon of workshops, speakers, music and poetry focused on issues faced by women in their experiences with unions, environmental injustice, immigration, domestic abuse, street violence and war. A light lunch will be provided.
