Brooklyn Rider and 2 Foot Yard (World Premiere) March 25, 2010

The intrepid, genre-bending New York string quartet Brooklyn Rider, who traveled the world with Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Project, illuminates music through a fervently adventurous repertoire and raw, edgy performances, exploring new sound worlds with fresh insight and unusual collaborations.

The bold and hard-grooving 2 Foot Yard trio merges the visceral power of rock with the intimacy of chamber music in a cacophony of musical influences ranging from acoustic punk to old country ballads.

These two groups come together here in a World Premiere performance commissioned by Carolina Performing Arts.
