Candlelight Concert Series - Tender is the Night October 18, 2011

The provocative Appassionata Duo has caught the attention of classical and pop music fans alike with a repertoire that covers everything from Clair de Lune to Guns N' Roses. Join Tulsa Symphony Orchestra harpist Jill Wiebe and principal violist Jeff Cowen at the beautiful Harwelden Mansion for a romantic evening of music illuminated by the warm glow of candlelight and then enjoy mingling with the artists during a wine and cheese reception. This intimate concert pays tribute to the mystique and aura of a moonlit night. This collection of melodies inspired by the night features Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Beau Soir, Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, and Faure’s Berceuse. The program is complete with a Latin Mambo, Don McLean’s American Pie, and more! Tickets must be purchased in advance.
