If you have never heard poet Lisa Gill (www.lisagill.org), three opportunities remain to catch her one woman show, "caput nili" created from a recent ordeal--yet another diagnosis. Impressions may be drawn from her descriptions: "a difficult MS diagnosis reveals a history of violence" and "one woman sicks her skinny corpus callosum on the world."
Lisa has a gift for distillation. Her personal journeys take her to the depths of despair and isolation, but she is always able to make absolute sense of our crazy world and her place in it. The show, with music by Mitch Rayes, video by Bryan Konefsky and sculpture by Kris Mills and Liz Hunt, runs April 1, 7 and 8. Reservations are recommended. Performances benefit the Albuquerque Rape Crisis Center.
