Carmichael Gallery is proud to present Celebrity Will Eat Itself, a new series of works on canvas by English painter Guy Denning, in the main gallery. The Bristol-born artist’s work explores the notion of the eternally solipsistic uber-celebrity in all its splendor, hedonism, and pain. This is his debut US solo exhibition.

In the rear gallery, the gallery presents A Mirror Distorted, an all-female international group show featuring new works by artists Andrea Michaelsson, Candice Tripp, Cherri Wood and Pam Glew. Artwork includes works on canvas, paper and mixed media.

An opening reception for Celebrity Will Eat Itself and A Mirror Distorted will be held on Thursday August 6 2009 from 7.00pm – 10.00pm. The exhibitions will be open for viewing through Thursday August 27 2009 from 1.00pm – 7.00pm.
